It has taken the strong and militant voices of many gay people and their straight supporters to challenge this notion that you can choose your sexual orientation. How encouraging then to see students intuitively insisting that those who WANT to take a same sex partner to prom should have every right to do so! It's not rocket science! When did any of us ever wake up one day and decide, I think I'll be attracted to someone? Miraculously and wonderfully, the human body takes care of this quite readily! There's never going to be a lawyer who will take a case to sue for the $5, but by making it a class action to get thousands of people their money back, it gives the people access to justice. By continuing to limit this access to justice the Roberts Supreme Court continues to favor the 1% over the 99%. It’s important to point out just why class actions are so important.
